Reynolds Center to host broadcast production workshop at SABEW fall conference

Posted By Cody Shotwell

Has shooting video stories become part of your job as a business journalist? The Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism is offering SABEW fall conference-goers a chance to hone those multimedia skills at the Oct. 2 workshop, titled ‘Produce a Business News Video in a Day.’

The workshop will be held as part of SABEW’s Oct. 1-2 conference at City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism, but you don’t have to attend the conference to take part in the workshop.

Registration is limited to 20 participants. Click here to register.

Under the expert instruction of Arizona State University TV-production specialist Brian Snyder, this intensive day of hands-on training will equip you with the skills and build your confidence to shoot business news videos.

No previous experience with video is required. Cameras, tripods and editing equipment will be provided.

By the end of the day, you and your partner will have reported, shot and edited a 1.5- to 2-minute video. “I am still surprised at how much can be learned in a day,” said Scott McCleskey, managing editor, North America, for Complinet.com. He took the workshop in March. ”This training was focused, practical and of immediate use to me back in my organization.”
