Philadelphia Business Journal, a publication of American City Business Journals, seeks an editor to replace the current editor who is leaving.

The editor is responsible for the overall direction, coverage and development of both the print and digital products. Lyn says the ideal candidate will have strong news judgment, leadership and editing skills. Enthusiasm for the work and the market, a willingness to get involved in the community, be visible and accessible are a must. It is expected that the editor will work collaboratively with other departments.

Qualifications include: high expectations of oneself and others, capability to manage multiple projects, ability to manage personnel on an individual basis and the ability to coach and motivate others. Strong presentation skills are required; previous experience delivering television and radio reports is a plus.

The editor manages a highly experienced and motivated news team. In recent years, the staff has won numerous awards, including two Newspaper of the Year designations from the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association Foundation plus a Best of the Best award from Society of American Business Editors and Writers.
