In 2008-2009, SABEW leaders and members like you played a key role in the development of our Fund for the Future. Money raised allowed SABEW to bolster its technology, revamp our website and improve computer systems as we move forward in the digital age.
Initially, many of us referred to it as a rainy-day fund. It would help this important organization meet its ambitious goals and deal with big challenges. It is raining now. And SABEW needs your help with a donation to the Fund. Please consider a tax-deductible gift today. We’ve set a goal of $40,000 for this effort over the next 12 months. With board help, we are already at 25 percent of goal.
Through September, we will approach our largest donors, past presidents and board, and others. In addition, we are about to embark on a round of solicitation efforts with foundations and philanthropies, using personal donations to leverage grant opportunities.
We’d appreciate anything you can afford — $25, $50, $100!
At a time of deep, seminal changes in the industry, SABEW has continued its ongoing mission of service and education, as well as promoting ethics. Adjusting to change amid a deep recession has not been easy. For the most part, we have been able to hold down our fees for membership and training. But this means that revenue has not covered expenses.
