Learn how to use LinkedIn as a reporting tool

 

During the 45-minute session, you’ll learn how to promote your stories, increase your professional visibility, and conduct advanced searches on companies, groups and more. You’ll also learn about some of our new tools, including the alumni tool and unified search box. After the session you will be eligible for a free one-year upgrade to LinkedIn Premium, which will allow you to send InMails to potential sources and conduct much more refined searches. ??Yumi Wilson, a corporate communications manager at LinkedIn who runs the popular LinkedIn for Journalists training sessions, will conduct the training and will tailor it to the needs and interests of business journalists.

Yumi Wilson is a corporate communications manager at LinkedIn, where she trains journalists how to leverage LinkedIn for research, reporting and sourcing. She also moderates the LinkedIn for Journalists group, which has grown from 16,000 one year ago to nearly 40,000 members. In addition, Wilson leads a program that trains corporate communications teams around the world on how they can use LinkedIn to enhance their company’s brand.

Wilson previously served as an associate professor of journalism at San Francisco State University. Earlier in her career Wilson worked for the Associated Press and as a reporter and editor at the San Francisco Chronicle.
