Freelancers invited to ASJA’s Writers Conference April 27-28

Freelance writers have the opportunity to hone their skills at the 41st Annual Writers Conference, April 27- 28 in New York City, sponsored the American Society of Journalists and Authors.

This year’s conference, “Writing Bootcamp: Basic Training for your Freelance Career,” offers more than 60 sessions designed to teach freelancers how to network with editors, various ways to break into emerging markets and how to successfully navigate the 21st century freelance landscape.

Join editors from iVillage, Details, Better Homes and Gardens, Discover, Wine Enthusiast, Family Circle, Martha Stewart Living, Fitness, Parade, Hearst Books, Simon & Schuster and Penguin Group. Other sessions will focus on more technical topics such as managing a WordPress website, content management, video production and social media.
