CFA Institute offering a free two-hour training session on March 26, in NYC

Phoenix- The CFA Institute will be holding a free, two-hour session focused on Claritas, a their new investment certificate program.

This media seminar will be based on Ch. 4 of the Claritas curriculum (see the syllabus).

The session is open to journalists and will cover the following:

•       Comparing information provided by the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement;

•       Comparing types of assets, liabilities, and equity;

•       Explaining links between the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement;

•       Distinguish between profit and net cash flow;

•       Identify and compare cash flow classifications of operating, investing, and financing activities;

•       Explain the usefulness of ratio analysis for financial statements;

•       Identify and interpret ratios used to analyze a company’s liquidity, profitability, financing, shareholder return, and shareholder value
