Job Description: Deputy editor’s responsibilities include: overseeing and assisting with production of supplemental publications and special projects; assigning, editing and writing articles for print and online; gathering, analyzing and editing large amounts of data to prepare charts and other content; fact-checking; compiling and distributing daily e-newsletters a minimum of two to three days a week (newsletters are edited and distributed before 6:30 a.m.); posting and updating content on website as needed.

Job Qualifications: Candidates should have at least five years of full-time business journalism experience with a proven track record of generating story ideas and writing business articles. Familiarity with Virginia is a plus.
