A nationally recognized expert on student loans and financial aid, Lauren Asher is president of the Institute for College Access & Success, an independent, nonprofit organization working to make higher education more available and affordable for people of all backgrounds. TICAS is home to the Project on Student Debt, which Lauren co-founded in 2005. After serving in senior positions at the Kaiser Family Foundation, National Partnership for Women & Families, and U.S. Department of Labor, she led Asher Policy Consulting from 2002 to 2005.

 

Ted Beck, President and CEO of the National Endowment for Financial Education.

Ted is president and CEO of the National Endowment for Financial Education. He also serves on the President’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability, a panel established by President Barack Obama to promote and enhance financial capability among the American people. Beck is chairman of the board of the National Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy and also serves on the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Advisory Committee on Economic Inclusion.

 

Mark Kantrowitz, Senior Vice President and Publisher of Edvisors Network.

Mark is a nationally-recognized expert on student financial aid and paying for college. He is senior vice president and publisher of Edvisors Network. Prior to joining Edvisors, Mark was founder and publisher of FinAid.org and publisher of Fastweb.com. He has testified before Congress about student aid policy on several occasions and is the author of two bestselling books about scholarships and financial aid.
