A65V2389-199x300CHICAGO – Ilyce Glink, an award-winning real estate journalist and founder of Think Glink Media, was recognized by the Society of American Business Editors and Writers with one of its highest honors, the President’s Award.

Glink received the honor Saturday, April 25, at SABEW’s annual conference in Chicago.

Glink, a longtime SABEW member, was honored for her years of service to the organization, including her key role as chair of the 2015 conference, which attracted 300 leading business journalists, educators, students and policymakers.

“Ilyce stepped up to take on the demanding role of conference chair and produced an incredible program that delivered top-quality training, networking and access to newsmakers,” said Marty Wolk, SABEW president and assigning editor at NerdWallet. “Ilyce has been incredibly generous with her time and resources over the year, and I have relied heavily on her ideas and advice. She is richly deserving of this honor.”

Among her many honors, she was named one of the 30 Most Influential Women in Housing 2014 by HousingWire, and she also won the first Money $mart award from the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

In addition to Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner, speakers at SABEW’s annual conference included Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker, economists Austan Goolsbee, Randall Kroszner, and Larry Kotlikoff, as well as leading financial writers Ron Lieber, Philip Moeller, Diana Henriques, and Liz Weston.
