- Judges’ Comments – Talk about journalism that makes an impact — this story uncovered a scandal (and its cover-up) of a charity that was supposed to save Liberian girls from the sex trade but instead exposed them to sexual assault by a charity executive. It was brave reporting about a sensitive topic — well written and respectful. It had very vivid imagery, and really took the audience there, but it also managed to show just enough to tell the story without exploiting the children involved.
