Dear SABEW Friends,

Happy fall! I hope this season of giving finds you, your families and your teams healthy.

We are just coming off our very successful fall virtual conference, which was chock full of newsmakers, top-notch learning sessions and networking. We broke news in our sessions and generated a lot of buzz across the industry. We also honored legendary business journalists Myron Kandel of CNN and Sue Herera of CNBC. To assist members in need during these tough economic times, we priced the conference accordingly, offered several fellowships and a relief rate to attendees experiencing financial hardships.

The conference was just another example of the power and reach of SABEW’s network and our influence across our industry. The past two years have demonstrated the importance of business journalism in our society. Our colleagues, members and member organizations have produced incredible work covering the profound economic changes. SABEW has been there to support and celebrate your work and educate future generations on how to be the “Best in Business” news.

Throughout the pandemic, we’ve been committed to offering excellent virtual programming and networking while launching a new website and conference platform for a seamless user experience. We know many of you are craving in-person connections and SABEW hopes we can safely be together in person for a 2022 conference.

Even during these challenging times for our industry and the communities we serve, SABEW is an organization with momentum. We are supporting journalists, advocating for access to government data and working toward more diversity in the profession and in business coverage. At 57-years old, SABEW is hitting its stride. We intend to rise to new heights with a focused commitment to growing our membership, strengthening our balance sheet and amplifying our influence across our industry. To do that, we need your support.

Please consider a year-end tax-deductible donation. You can do so through SABEW’s secure site or by mailing a check to SABEW, P.O. Box 4, Fountainville, PA 18923. (Please note, we are headquartered at ASU’s Cronkite School but a P.O. Box was set up during the pandemic).

If your company matches charitable contributions, please apply for the match as well. We love matching donations! Thank you for your support, membership and generosity.

We wish you a healthy and happy holiday season!

Sincerely,

Caleb Silver                                                   Kathleen Graham
