Job Description
Bisnow is a commercial real estate trade publication. The South Florida reporter is responsible for writing roughly eight articles a week of varying lengths and types, including covering Bisnow’s produced events. A blend of breaking news and deeper enterprise reporting will largely focus hyper-locally on Miami and greater South Florida area, but the reporter will also have the opportunity to work on national and international stories.
Job Qualifications
Candidate must have digital news experience and at least two years of experience in business journalism.
Desired traits:
– Great writing skills, excellent news judgment, the personality of a self-starter.
– Must be a thoughtful and articulate writer who is interested in building his or her voice and journalistic brand on Bisnow.com.
– A commitment to seeking diverse stories and sourcing is required.
– Must have ability to travel around the South Florida area and must have availability to attend/cover Bisnow-hosted events.
– Though not required, it would be a plus if the candidate has knowledge of commercial real estate, urban and community planning and urban design, and especially contacts within those scenes.
