Always Wanted to Write a Book? Here’s how.
Writing a book offers creative freedom, and the opportunity to dive into a topic in depth. For many journalists, it’s the logical next step in the big story they’ve been covering. But how do you flesh out a book idea, craft a proposal and find an agent? And once you’ve landed the book deal, how do you balance the project against the demands of a journalism career?
Our panel will discuss what it takes to embark on a book project. Published authors will share practical tips about all aspects of the book-writing process, including finding an agent, managing your time, tackling writing blocks and organizing notes and research. Whether you’ve always dreamed of writing a book or you already have a specific project you’re launching into, this session is for you.
