SABEW Health Care Symposium
October 20 @ 6:00 pm - October 22 @ 11:00 am
SABEW is seeking applicants for its 2024 Health Care Symposium in Washington, D.C. The fellowship will give journalists a chance to take a deep dive with experts and veteran reporters into some of the big issues facing U.S. health care, from the growing impact of private equity ownership, to the ways in which blockbuster diabetes and weight-loss drugs are widening health disparities, the crisis of rural health care, and the battles ahead on women’s reproductive health.
Thanks to a grant from The Commonwealth Fund, SABEW will cover the hotel costs and provide a travel stipend for out-of-town attendees. The program kicks off on Sunday evening, October 20, with a welcome dinner. On Monday, October 21, we will have a full day of sessions at the National Press Building Conference Center, located in D.C. We will conclude on Tuesday, October 22, before noon.
If you are interested in being a Health Care fellow, apply by 5 p.m. ET, Thursday, September 19.
