SABEW22 Spotlight Series: How COVID-19 has changed health care and how we cover it

President Biden tested positive again for Covid-19 as part of a “rebound”  virus infection stemming from using the antiviral treatment Paxlovid. These cases, described as rare, are part of a growing trend that medical experts are saying that they may be more common than previously thought.

It’s just one of example of how COVID-19 continues to be a mystery on multiple fronts.

In May, #SABEW22 featured a panel discussion, produced through a grant to SABEW from the Commonwealth Fund, on How COVID-19 has changed health care and how we cover it. Hear how COVID-19 has impacted everything and has changed everybody’s understanding how individual and public health is important to business, the economy and society.

This skills session, for business journalists, journalism educators and students, took place on May 12 at the Dotdash Meredith New York office in the city’s financial district. #SABEW22 was a two-day event, themed Moving Forward – The future of business and the economy in the “new, new normal,” preparing attendees for future business and economic reporting with content, skills, and newsmakers covering a broad range of business topics.
