Last Friday, SABEW, in a statement, called on Twitter CEO Elon Musk and Twitter executives to restore freedom of speech to its platform after arbitrarily shutting down the accounts of several journalists, including those from SABEW member organizations. Over the weekend, with intense backlash and calls from the journalism community, Twitter had already begun to reinstate the accounts of multiple journalists.
