Job Description
The digital marketing specialist is a newly created part-time role at SABEW. This position is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of our marketing strategy. The role will focus on creating, implementing, tracking, and optimizing SABEW’s digital and traditional marketing campaigns across various channels. This position requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.
A successful candidate will be passionate about creating content and excited to identify and implement emerging digital marketing trends that extend the reach and impact of SABEW’s mission and communicate our value to current and potential members, donors, grantees, sponsors, and media partners. This position is a part-time, remote position with flexible working hours reporting to the executive director.
Responsibilities
● Plan, manage, and execute SABEW’s content calendar across our digital platforms.
● Ensure a consistent brand presence and voice that reflects SABEW’s mission.
● Use an effective and engaging balance of storytelling tools, such as infographics, photos, videos, and more to illustrate our impact.
● Research, design, and compose content for dissemination through a variety of mediums, such as social media platforms, websites, electronic newsletters, publications, and emails.
● Coordinates the production of materials to include content/style editing, designing, printing, photography, and/or copywriting.
● Actively seeks out new and emerging digital trends to interact effectively with our audience.
● Assists in maintaining the website, ensuring all information is up to date, consistent, accurate, and appropriate.
● Consistently meet deadlines.
● Monitor content engagement, develop a system to analyze digital marketing results, and apply insights to continually improve performance.
● Attend weekly staff meetings.
● Other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies & Qualifications
● Attention to detail
● Exceptional communication, writing, and editing skills
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while working as part of a team
● Ability to create social media content on platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
● Knowledge of AP Style, grammar, and punctuation
● Proficiency in HTML, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Google Analytics, Canva, MailChimp, and Microsoft Office Suite.
● A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in digital marketing, journalism, or communications.
● 2-4 years of professional experience that includes blogging, social media, email marketing, and managing analytics.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience in the field of journalism and/or non-profits
● Video production and editing skills
● Google Ads

● Must have access to a computer with reliable internet and a quiet work environment. SABEW will provide access to software licenses as needed.
Pay
Hourly paid position with a range of $18-22 per hour commensurate with experience. 20 hours per week.
