Have you written a non-fiction business book that deserves recognition? SABEW’s Best in Business Book Awards is open for entries! The final deadline to submit an entry is Monday, August 12, at 5 p.m. ET.
SABEW will recognize the best business book published from August 1, 2023, through July 31, 2024, in each of the three categories: Business Reporting; Career and Financial Development, previously Investing & Personal Finance; and Management and Leadership.
Books in the “Business Reporting” category must be nonfiction works about companies, business topics, business leaders, markets, economics, or labor. This category focuses on works of long-form narrative, history, biography, or analysis. Judges are looking for the quality of the writing and reporting, the craft and power of the storytelling, and the book’s impact and importance within its particular field.
Books in the “Career and Financial Development” category must be nonfiction works offering insight, analysis, or explanation of ideas, strategies, or trends in career development or investing and personal finance. These are typically works of service journalism that are useful to individuals, covering topics such as personal productivity, creativity, communication, negotiation, work-life balance, personal growth, career satisfaction, money management, and investment strategies.
Books in the “Management and Leadership” category must be nonfiction works about the methods and practice of organizational management and/or corporate leadership. This category includes works that are analytical, instructional, prescriptive, or inspirational. Judges are looking for the quality of the writing and reporting, the originality and persuasiveness of the ideas, and the book’s impact and importance within its particular field.
The winning authors from each category will be recognized by SABEW and awarded a $1,000 cash prize, and two finalists from each category will receive $500. The honorees will be announced in November.
