Job Description
The San Diego Union-Tribune is seeking a reporter to cover the region’s booming technology scene, which includes a diverse range of companies in wireless, AI, biotech, and prominent names like Qualcomm, Illumina and Dexcom. We are looking for a journalist who can break news and write dailies but also develop enterprise stories. The successful candidate should have a basic understanding of SEC documents and be able to explain tech jargon and complex topics so people and businesses outside these industries understand their significance.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of journalism experience and degree or equivalent.
- Ability to simplify complex subjects in a clear, engaging way.
- Command of various journalistic writing forms, including narrative and explanatory, with solid news judgment and fluency in style.
