Committee Objectives

  • Reviews, interprets and updates SABEW’s bylaws. 
  • Helps the SABEW’s board address and resolve governance and leadership issues.
  • Orients new board members on the programs, finances, and plans for the future. 
  • Provides an understanding for how the board itself operates, how the staff and board interact, and what their role and responsibilities are within the association. 
  • Develops ongoing educational opportunities for the entire board.
  • Evaluates the performance of the board itself.
  • Develops criteria for membership – This could also fall under membership.
  • Works with the Executive Director and lawyer on the SABEW Canada agreement.
