Committee Objectives
- Reviews, interprets and updates SABEW’s bylaws.
- Helps the SABEW’s board address and resolve governance and leadership issues.
- Orients new board members on the programs, finances, and plans for the future.
- Provides an understanding for how the board itself operates, how the staff and board interact, and what their role and responsibilities are within the association.
- Develops ongoing educational opportunities for the entire board.
- Evaluates the performance of the board itself.
- Develops criteria for membership – This could also fall under membership.
- Works with the Executive Director and lawyer on the SABEW Canada agreement.
