Early-bird deadline for BIB Awards ends Jan. 4

Two days remain for the early-bird discount pricing on SABEW’s Best in Business Awards — the only comprehensive set of awards honoring excellence in business journalism. Submit your best work by 5 p.m. ET this Thursday (Jan. 4) to take advantage of saving $20 on each entry.

This competition will cover work published, broadcast and posted in the calendar year 2023. Winners will receive a personalized glass award.

Early-bird entry fees:

  • $130 for General Excellence categories
  • $79 for Story Type and Story Topic categories, as well as Best Range of Work
  • $64 for Freelancers (use promo code “Freelancer” when you pay for your entries on the competition website)
  • $20 for Students

Because these awards are for members only, please verify your membership before the competition opens. Students don’t need to be members of SABEW to submit an entry. Non-member students who submit an entry will receive a free one-year student membership (a $25 savings).

New this year:

  • The Real-Time Reporting category has been changed to Breaking News. Entries in this category must include coverage within the first 24 hours of a breaking story, demonstrating speed of delivering headlines, stories and analysis with relevant context and value-added information.

Visit SABEW’s Best in Business page for categories, complete details and to enter the competition. Contact Tess McLaughlin at tmclaughlin@sabew.org with any questions.

The final deadline for all entries is noon ET, Thursday, Feb. 1.
