Suzanne Barlyn covers the U.S. insurance industry for Reuters. Suzanne joined Reuters in 2011 to cover the Wall Street’s industry-funded regulator, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. In 2015, Suzanne began covering New York’s Department of Financial Services and financial enforcement cases. Suzanne has broken news about a breadth of topics – from UBS advisers pushing risky Puerto Rico bonds on investors to regulators trying to get their arms around emerging financial technologies like Bitcoin to Wells Fargo’s sham accounts scandal. Earlier, Suzanne worked for Dow Jones Newswires and contributed stories to The Wall Street Journal. She launched her journalism career as a Fortune reporter in 1994.
