SABEW has been honoring outstanding business journalism work for the past 28 years with its Best in Business Awards. We hope that you will submit your work this year for a chance to win the most prestigious award in business news. The competition will open for entries on December 1 at noon ET.
Deadlines:
- Early-bird deadline — Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 5 p.m. ET
- Competition deadline — Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 5 p.m. ET
- Late deadline — Thursday, February 1, 2024, at noon ET
New this year:
- In order to continue to provide great services to our members, the entry fees for the General Excellence categories have been adjusted to $130 / $150 / $200 depending on the submission date.
- The student entry fee has been adjusted to $20 regardless of the deadline.
- The Real-Time Reporting category has been changed to Breaking News. Entries in this category must include coverage within the first 24 hours of a breaking story, demonstrating speed of delivering headlines, stories and analysis with relevant context and value-added information.
Because these awards are for members only, please verify your membership before the competition opens. Students don’t need to be members of SABEW to submit an entry. Non-member students who submit an entry will receive a free one-year student membership (a $25 savings).
