In this webinar, Tom Akana, advisor and research fellow at the Consumer Finance Institute of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, will share the results of a study on how Americans have coped financially during the pandemic. Pia Sarkar, business news editor at The Associated Press, will moderate.

Akana will talk about:

• Background on the development of the year-long survey and how he has benchmarked the findings against outside sources.
• Recent trends the survey has revealed about consumers’ feelings of financial security, job recovery, and vaccine receptivity.
• The ongoing role of survey and third-party data at the Philadelphia Fed and across the Federal Reserve System.
