#SABEW26 Annual Conference

Mark your calendars! SABEW, the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing, will hold its annual conference, Thursday, May 7 – Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Center City.
Whether you are a newsroom leader, early/mid-career journalist, academic, student, or PR pro, SABEW’s annual conference is tailor made for you, with diverse programming that will allow you to take home new ideas to use in your stories, newsrooms, or classrooms. Don’t miss the opportunity to network with other colleagues, hear from top industry leaders, and celebrate the winners of the Best in Business awards.
This year’s event will also feature a stop on RTDNA’s World Tour, bringing its signature focus on broadcast and modern newsroom leadership. Through interactive discussions and practical takeaways, Radio Television Digital News Association trainers offer insights into audience-centered coverage, ethical leadership and newsroom culture. The World Tour stop is made possible through a partnership between RTDNA and the SABEW, supported by the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) — reflecting a shared commitment to elevating journalism training and expanding access to professional development across newsrooms.
The conference will also include career enhancing collaborations with AAJA-NY, American City Business Journals, Bright Data, ESPN, IRE, The Commonwealth Fund, The National Institute for Health Care Management Foundation, RTDNA, and The Wharton School, The University of Pennsylvania.
