Warren spent 25 years as a newspaper reporter, editor and executive before moving into journalism education in 1998. He was vice president of the American Press Institute until 2004 when he became director of J-Ideas, a First Amendment institute at Indiana’s Ball State University. Watson was a co-founder of the Reynolds Center for Business Journalism in 2003. He joined SABEW in September 2009.

Sue joined SABEW in November 2009 and brings over 20 years experience in public relations and meeting planning from the hospitality and commercial banking industries. The Illinois native moved to Arizona with her family in 1986.

Mark joined SABEW’s staff in October 2009 following 24 years in Arizona journalism, most recently as editorial writer and columnist for the East Valley Tribune. He served six years on the national board of the Society of Professional Journalists including two on its Executive Committee, and remains active on the board of the Phoenix SPJ chapter. Mark is treasurer of the First Amendment Coalition of Arizona and teaches journalism ethics at Arizona State University, where he has been a faculty associate (adjunct professor) at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication since 2008.

Eric joined SABEW in January 2011 following seven years in the journalism, public relations and Internet marketing industries. From 2004 to 2009 he worked as a staff writer, contributor and freelancer for various newspapers and magazines in Arizona, Vermont and Massachusetts. For the past two years, prior to joining SABEW, Eric worked with Phoenix, Ariz.-based public relations and Internet marketing firms developing his knowledge of social media, Internet marketing, HTML/CSS website design, SEO and online advertising.
